Reflection 1 (8.9.2014)
In the first week of the class for this course SKI3013: ICT in Chemistry, our lecturer, Dr Asmayati explained all the coursework and assignments that we need to do within this semester. We have no final exam for this course. The marks depends on all the assignments, quiz and coursework that we would do later. After explanation, we were asked to prepare teaching philosophy and professional development plan for the use in our e-portfolio later. I enjoyed during the class because I could learn something outside the textbook. I felt happy because I could learned something with ICT which its application will be very important in future when we become a future teacher in school in order to enhance students' studies.
Reflection 2 (15.9.2014)
In the class, we practiced to use the features in MyGuru. We learned a lot of applications inside the forum. Dr asked us to download a file named "Butterfly". We asked to take a look and give respond in the forum. We were asked to add a topic in the forum and tried to reply a least 2 or 3 messages to our classmates in the forum about the topic "Butterfly". After that, we practiced to discuss other topic in the forum by giving our opinions. Thanks our Dr Asmayati who taught us a lot and make it more convenient to our studies.
Reflection 3 (22.9.2014)
Today, we learned how to use the Google doc. We were taught to get used to the features inside Google account especially Google Drive. Google Drive enables us to save our files online and this enable us to submit our assignment online. After that, we are able to know how to upload the files to Google Drive and share the links of the files so that others can see our uploaded files.
Reflection 4 (29.9.2014)
In the class today, we learned how to use some additional tools to help us during the process learning and teaching such as software Freemind and Crossword maker online. For example, the application in Freemind can help us to show to students about the whole topic that they would learned in the lesson. From this software, students could see clearly and more understand what they would learn in the lesson. Thus, Freemind is quite a good tools. But at the beginning, I didn't know how to use Freemind, because it looked difficult to apply. Thus, during the class, I tried to explore and ask Dr and also friends to get some ideas how to use this software. After that, I learned from them, I tried to get used to apply Freemind. At last, I learned how how to construct a mind map by using Freemind application.
Reflection 5 (6.10.2014)
In the class today, we explored to the blogging. Dr asked us to create a educational blog which included the information about chemistry. We could put whatever about chemistry inside our blog. I put the tutorial for some killer subject such as balancing the equation and symmetry operation. I put some useful links so that others could get more information or exercise from the website that I linked to. Moreover, I also put some music application inside my blog so that visitors can listen to the songs and relax while reading my posts. During the class, I tried to edit my gadgets of my blog in order to have better appearance so that it could attract people to see it and learn something from my blog.
Reflection 6 (13.10.2014)
In the class today, we learned how to make a better presentation in power point such as inserting videos, mind map, pictures and so on. Those things could attract students' attention and would not bored them during the lesson. We could also put some sounds into our power point to make it more attractive and students would not feel sleepy easily. Besides, we learned how to insert hyperlink in the power point.We could link to Youtube video which may enhance student's understanding to achieve effective learning.
Reflection 7 (17.11.2014)
In the class today, we learned how to create a Prezi account by using the educational plan which has more features. We signed up by our own UPSI email. After signing in, we explored by the guidance of our lecturer in the class. There are so many features inside Prezi. Dr asked us to try to explore inside and make a Prezi for topic Jabatan Kimia UPSI. Besides, we also learned how to use cam studio. Cam studio is a program which can show every motion or step that you present on the screen of computer or laptop. By using the cam studio, we can teach others how to use an application and make the lesson more attractive. For example, we can show the steps how we can draw a graph in Microsoft Excel by recording by cam studio on the screen of laptop or computer.
